Math Club
Statement of Purpose: Our prime goal is promotion of mathematics among students, faculty and the community at large, especially here at the U of M. To do this on an ongoing basis we sponsor events of a recreational and educational nature and disseminate information about mathematics that is of interest beyond the "elite" mathematical community.

Specifically, we watch movies and films focussing on mathematics or mathematicians, play mathematical games, listen to talks by mathematicians or math hobbyists, solve problems and learn about the latest developments in the world of mathematics.

All members of the university or surrounding community are welcome to participate in math club activities, be they faculty, students, staff or interested observers. More serious mathematically-inclined undergraduates should also consider joining our Problem Solving Seminar and taking part in mathematics contests.
